IELTS General Task 1: Recent topic "Inviting friend"

You have just returned from visiting a friend living in overseas. Write a letter to your friend: - To thank him - Invite him for an event you are organising - What are you planning for the event

Dear Tony,

Hope this letter of mine finds you in great health and high spirits.

At the outset, I would like to thank you for making my stay in Australia as one of my most memorable trip. I really appreciate your taking out time for us despite your busy schedule, Martha and you made us feel absolutely at home and the way you had planned the entire trip was remarkable.

You would be happy to know that I am planning a small reunion of our old college friends and for this I have planned a three day tour to Amby Valley Resort, which is a two hour’s drive from my city. Most of the friends have agreed to take off from 24.12.17 to 26.12.17 for the reunion.

There are number of things lined for the 3 days, the first day we will catch up with old times over lunch and dinner party. The next day we are in for a treat, as we all would relax and enjoy the various spa treatments along with organic food. The last day has been left unplanned and we can plan it up once we all meet there. I hope this sounds exciting to you and I am really looking forward to your being part of the get together.
