IELTS General Task : topic "friend looking after dog and house"

You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. Write about the following topic

A friend has agreed to look after your house and pet while you are on holiday. Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:

- Give contact details for when you are away - Give instructions about how to care for your pet - Describe other household duties

Model Answer:

Dear Dhruv, Hope you are doing great. Thank you very much for agreeing to look after my house and my dog, Casper for few days. Before I leave, I wanted to walk you through some important details.

To begin with, you can buzz me anytime at my cell number at 123433721. If I am not available, please leave a voicemail and I will call you back.

Please remember to feed Casper thrice a day. I have kept his food in the top shelf above the kitchen sink. Also, he needs to be taken out for a walk and bio break in the morning and evening time. Casper is a friendly dog and he is quite fond of you, so I think you will not have problems.

It would be great if you could water the plants every other day. The garbage truck arrives every Thursday morning and please do not mix up recyclable wastes with other wastes. I have packed the refrigerator with food for you. The house is all there for you to enjoy.
